Training courses take to the road! 780 488 Detector Testers

Our ‘Testing and Maintenance of Fire Detection Systems’ course has proved extremely popular and as a result, we are pleased to announce that we are taking our training on the road!

The first on-the-road sessions will take place in Blackburn and Liversedge in November and will be co-hosted by Acorn Fire & Security and Safety Fire Solutions (SFS). Addressing the codes and standards relevant to testing, the course will consider the types of fire detection installed, the options available for functional testing and how these test solutions should be used for optimum performance and compliance. Our technical support, Paul Gatens, will continue to deliver these free sessions – which will take place within the offices of Acorn Fire & Security and SFS.

Course objectives:

  • defining ‘competency’ and ‘responsibility’ as part of the rro
  • bs:5839-1 2017 updates – including the testing of multi-sensor detectors
  • introduction to solo, testifire and scorpion products
  • operation of test solutions
  • tips and tricks for optimum usage
  • working at height
  • product support
