DT team members elected to FIA Councils

The recent Fire Industry Association (FIA) AGM, held at The Brewery in London, saw several new appointments and re-elections to various FIA Councils.  Among the appointments were a few familiar faces from the Detectortesters team!

Jacob Andelin

A familiar face to many in the industry from his time here at Detectortesters and before that at FFE, Jake was re-elected to join the Fire Detection and Alarm Council.  From his role as Technical Director,  Jake has plenty of insight to benefit the council – which serves to represent manufacturers and suppliers of fire detection and alarm equipment and monitors and helps with guidance on development of relevant standards, legislation and regulation.

Oliver Doerle

A fairly recent recruit to the fire industry, Oliver has been elected to the FIA Service Council which seeks to represent the companies that design, install, commission and maintain fire detection systems.  In his role of Strategic Marketing Manager, Oliver has great experience working with service and maintenance companies and understanding the challenges faced when carrying out on-site testing.

Alex Brown

Our Sales Manager for a number of years, Alex is well known by the global fire industry and has a great understanding of the relevant standards and regulations seen in the industry.  His experience makes him a perfect fit for the FIA Export Council which seeks to develop opportunities in overseas markets and improve overall fire standards globally.
